Cheveldayoff's statement doesn't hold since he asserted heard about it after Aldrich departed the Blackhawks. Aldrich didn't leave until the conclusion of the season.

Another question is now does Bowman also resign as Team USA Olympic GM?

I think the organizations themselves will act before Gary meets with anyone.

So if I have this straight, it wasn't any of Quenville or the managers who committed the abuse. It was an associate coach?
These other guys are all implicated because they turned a blind eye.

Let's not forget that the Hawks gave Aldrich a positive reference. In that new position, he sexually assaulted others, including minors.
It's heinous.

You're downplaying it. Quenneville, Bowman, Bergevin, and Chevy (and evidently most or all of the players...) all knew about this, allowed the assaulter to continue being in a position of power over the assaultee, trivialized the assault to the point of pestering the asaultee with the memory years later, and allowed the Assaulter to continue on in other jobs where he was in a position to continue assaulting other victims.
This is criminal.

Statement from Bowman not a good look IMO. Pretty much saying his only fault was in trusting McDonough to take care of it appropriately.

These guys decided that a players allegation that a coach sexually abused him was a "distraction" the team didn't need. Allowed the coach to celebrate the Stanley cup get a cup ring then quietly asked him to resign or face an investigation.
After resigning, he used his credentials as part of a cup winning team to help get coaching jobs at a University and high schools where he further assaulted young men.
Then when one of his victims is trying to get something via the courts they claim they didn't have any knowledge until the victim filed in court.
So yeah f them.

This is seriously messed up. Q and Chevy should lose their jobs as a start.

I really appreciate the collective frame of mind regarding this appalling situation. Sexual assault and sex crime is ONE of the most grotesque acts out there. This is game SHOULD NOT support individuals that both knew about it and washed it under the carpet. I hope this individual that had to go through this disgusting act gets the support he needs, that people rise up around him, there is no escaping trauma. Closure leads to healing and the best form of closure is justice.

Not really sure what to say after reading some of the stuff above. Couldn’t imagine being the John Doe.
Can’t remember. Was there a civil suit against the team? I’d be going after the organization for damages if I were John Doe.
