There's that, and there's Ole's endless lives. Would anyone be shocked if they went down 4-0 at half and somehow salvaged a draw? The more dire it looks, the more he just seems to survive.

but seriously, wtf happened? Maguire and Shaw were outstanding at the Euros, but look like Sunday league defenders for United. There's got to be more reasons for that than just Ole.

I honestly dont know, United havent been playing terribly, but they just fell apart at the back a few times.

because it doesn't make sense. Blaming the center forward for a shambolic defense is ridiculous.
individually, I think Salah is the best player in the world right now. Just ridiculously good.

Look at the amount of work Fred is having to do to make up for Ronaldo's lack of effort. Not sure you can blame the defense when the team is effectively playing a man short.

Yeah thats the game plan though. I know prior to the match Ole said they wanted to start on the front foot, but he set them up to counter-attack.
They clearly wanted to soak up pressure and hope Ronaldo could make something out of nothing.

I thought so too...but the replay did show that Ronaldo did kick the ball. It was unnecessary and looked vicious, but he was kicking the ball.

I apologize in advance to the Liverpool fans lol. But wow that was so, so bad from United. Against Atalanta they looked ok for most of the first half, but today they look like a Championship team.
