Pitlick has played 2 games since being hurt and missing preseason - he needs time to get his legs going.
Vladar needs to make one of those two saves…but neither goal was soft. Ovy has done that to a lot of goalies.
Johnny needs to have a good third. Flames had all the momentum and his giveaway to give them a SH goal was the turning point.

Goal 3, you decide to give the GOAT goalscorer Carte Blanche on your goalie. Automatic Goal. IDC who is in net.
And it's still his 1st reg season game as a Flame. And it's tied.
The team as a whole needs to shake off the 2nd. Not lynch the goalie.
I guarantee you Sutter will say the same thing in the post game presser.

I would bet a large sum of money Markstrom and most goalies stop that Ovi shot from there. I get how good he is at scoring goals but that was not a good one at all.

Pffft, Strome can go elsewhere, if I'm looking at trades, it's Kravstov.

He had options, like not trying to pass through the Cap. He chose the worst option and right now is the turning point of this game. Sometimes players screw up. Johnny did. But he has time to make up for it.

I meant he bailed on skating the puck out to late so when he tried to chip it out he turned it over. That is a play you can't make in a 3-0 game under any circumstances.
I guess my agenda is to call out poor plays, or no shows from our best players.

How about we let Pitlick get back into game shape after his injury
Lucic has been bad, as he always is in October.
But neither of them are 13th forwards.

It was subtle, but Rasmus turned towards Kuznetsov for just a second before going back towards Ovie - it gave him just enough time to get to his favorite spot and rifle it.
Obviously he could have saved all 3, and he has made some saves that looked good. And he almost stopped that breakaway. But the team backed off, and hit some posts. The caps are a good team.

How about we win the third and cap it off with a Lindy hat-trick.

And Ritchie has less than 5 minutes of ice time so far.

Johnny............shoot it. It's 3-3, no time for cute little plays when you're in tight.

I have no problem with letting him get back into shape. But while he's in this state, he's close to being a detriment (which isn't his fault). And they have far too many detriments in the lineup right now.

If a goalie can see the shot the whole way, and there's no traffic in front, and no tips, he should be able to make the save the vast majority of the time.
