			Love a win!
I like that the 3rd period was strong.

Also love seeing Marky get a SO!

He's always been on terrible teams up to this point. People often forget he was a 3rd overall pick at one point. He can definitely play .

A good many people keep reminding us that Gudbranson was a 3rd overall pick, and using this as proof that NHL GMs are t3h st00pidz.

I am pleasantly surprised that he's playing well, but not downright shocked. I figured Sutter had to see something in him, and Sutter has a good eye for livestock and defencemen.

How about Gudbranson with 2 points and 4 SOG? I hope we see more of that.
Ritchie was also pretty integral on the Mangiapane goal. He had 2 skaters and the goalie looking at him when the puck broke loose for Mangiapane to slide in and score.

Dude's like Kirby, he just inhaled Monahan's scoring ability and kept on trucking on.

Great game from start to finish. The team played incredibly solid and locked it down nicely. Now that was Sutter hockey! Can definitely get used to seeing more of that.

Happy for Markstrom to get the shutout and help his numbers a bit. Also nice to see Tanguay behind the bench in Detroit. Had no idea he was coaching in the NHL, but glad to see him still involved in hockey.

No Zadarov = good game. Don't really care if he has a bigger salary or had a cool interview that someone on CP was able to translate for some hearty chuckles. The team looked way better without him. Hope to keep it that way for a while.

Very happy with Guds. Totally thought he's be the whipping boy by now, ala Grossman. Instead he's as steady as can be expected. Will be giving Treliving Kudos if he keeps playing this solid all season.

I do have to say it looks like Detroit will be good coming out of their rebuild. They have a couple of gems in Seder and Raymond. Both were impressive for young guys.

Not seeing the logic of Gaudreau and Tkachuk on the same line. Spread the playmakers around. Monahan could sure use one. It’s how you maximize his effectiveness.
Thought Backlund had a quietly great game. Wonder how long the Coleman experiment on his wing will last. Backlund has helped both Mangiapane and Dube take great leaps the past few years. Would love to see some Backlund-Coleman chemistry though I’m not convinced these line combos are set in stone.

 Would love to see

 Gaudreau-Lindholm-Coleman
 Tkachuk-Monahan-Mangiapane
 Pitlick-Backlund-Dube
 Lucic-whoever-whoever

If Sutter is intent on playing Dube at C I’m not sure where Monahan fits.

Yeah if Cossa pans out (he’s playing great right now) then look out!

To be fair this hot take is no different than someone declaring the season over after three games. He's looked really good but it's far to early to draw any conclusions over Gudbrandson.
