Still don’t get how you put Backlund and Monahan out in OT ahead of Mangiapane.

Mangiapane was out with Coleman?

I'm not saying the Ducks are a good team.

Bad teams also find ways to lose games they should have won. If that's not the Flames motto the last three seasons, I don't know what is.

Yeah Markstrom has to worry about the shot too...if there is one he could have had it was the first one.

Still, bury some chances and the game is long over

Gibson was Gibson this game. Guy is a good goalie. Don't know what Hanifin and Monahan were doing there in OT.

Also, didn't Markstrom play his best hockey when being peppered with tons of shots in Vancouver? Hopefully he can adjust to less shots. The loss wasn't on him tonight but I would hope for his price tag he commands that he could have had one or two of those.

Not sure he can’t be blamed. That first period goal was an absolute stinker. He’s not been terrible but he’s playing at that level of being just good enough to get beat and that’s not good enough especially when the team in front of him is offensively challenged. Lots of time for him to get going but it’s a concern he’s looking just as mediocre as he did last season.

Would like to see 88 on the top PP, move 23 to the 2nd unit. Hanifin on the top PP as well.

Rasmus with a weak writer from the point on a PP is ineffective and those sorts super low percentage plays should not be happening with a number one PP, and are incredibly frustrating to watch. Hold onto the puck instead and pass it off if you're going to make uncompetitive shots.

I think Gaudreau needs to spread the ice when he has the puck on the PP much like his great pass to Lindholm for the 2nd goal of the game, that gets the PK moving laterally and opens up other lanes.

I remember when we outshot the Canucks like 45-14 and lost by a goal to Markstrom. He basically pulled a Gibson on us. Just saying I wouldn't mind getting that from him one of these night.

Zadorov is starting to look like such a bad signing. 3.75 million for a fringe nhler at best. Hopefully he gets a lot better, but I can't see it.

Monahan actually looked like he had dome jump there but Hanafin made a bad read.

Monahan is really bad. People keep crediting him with minor league things he does like it's special.

He is not an NHL center. Well he is literally one but he isn't a good one. He has 0 heart.

We traded a 3rd round pick for a fringe NHLer making almost 4mil*

I’d be happy with another lottery bound team. We need more offensive talent from the blue line and up front.

Just return to the rebuild and fire treliving this off season as Benny goes on to score thirty with regular line mates and pp time. Tachuck should have been traded first. That guy can barely play at a pro pace. Same with Monahan.

I like Coleman.

This team just doesn't have enough weapons.

It's good to see strong systematic play and outplaying the opponents, but you can only do so much with the wrong personnel.

Too bad there's no way anyone could have seen this coming...
Too bad Buffalo wasn't dead set on shipping Eichel off back in July.

The giveaways were shocking not just in number but in nature — blind passes from the corner up the middle in his own zone? I counted 4.

Most defence men who do that are stapled to the bench. But he kept playing. Seriously, can Kyillington possibly be worse?

Monahan button hooked and gave him a pass with 3 ducks around him. He should have never button hooked when he had so much ice then went into coverage and put Hanifin in a bad spot. That's on Monahan then didn't move his feet and got beat for a 2 on 1.
