Dallas also has a top 3 pick in Heiskanen on their roster, as we all know the Flames have never drafted that high.

I have little hope New World Oilers is an actual insider but the “flames ask” for Eichel is one I would do if it is Dube over Mangiapane (Monahan, Zary, 1st, 2nd one of Dube/Mang)

oh man sad but true, forget the fact that the Flames have never drafted top 3, these guys don't even pass through town- first overalls? Bridgman, Nolan, Ramage, Hamrlik. 2nd overalls Zyuzin and a few with Atlanta- is that it?

Mangiapane makes a lot more sense from a cap hit perspective because he is getting paid next year where Dube has 3 years of cost certainty. I think Mangiapane could score 30 this year though and he is a crucial top 6 guy with first line upside.

I'd be fine moving Mangiapane for Eichel but I think other teams need to realize that he's not interchangeable with Dube anymore. To me he's a clear step up. He's interchangeable with Monahan. Just a slight tier below Tkachuk and Gaudreau.

1st (2022 with top 5 protection to slide to 2023)

He has better 5on5 production than Monahan over the last 2 seasons and is in fact in the leagues top 100.
All with less ice time and without Gaudreau as a linemate.
He has surpassed Monahan in the team's importance.
