Points never tell the whole story. Lindholm's goal was a powerplay gimme, and many of his goals in the past have been of a similar nature.

IMO Lindholm is much like Stamkos in Tampa. He's an useful second line center who can produce on the powerplay. Maybe Stamkos brings a bit more offensively and Lindholm a bit more defensively, but neither guy is a number one center regardless of how many points they pick up in a game or season. You need a "Brayden Point" playing ahead of that "Stamkos" doing the game-taking-overing. This is why we need to acquire a guys of the tier of Eichel or Wright or Bedard

This team has middle of the pack talent. If that.

The forwards have one player you’d pay money to see.

The defense is a bunch of low-skill, no-name try-hards.

The goalie had the 25th-best GAA and 38th-best save % last year. (In his last year with Vancouver, Markstrom had the 27th-best GAA and 14th-best save %)

Why does this roster cost $80M every year?

Puljujarvi was Tanev's man.
This isn't man on man defense. That was 90% Zadorov with poor gap control and 10% Backlund.

So Tanev was just out having a cigarette? JC, it was his man.

Oilers bump the goalie and throw the first punch...Flames get a double minor and a fine lol.

If I was the Flames Ras might find a anonymous stack of money in his locker

Powerplay gimme? It was a great shot

McDavid's goals were pp gimmes and an EN. Like I said it wasn't his best game but Lindholm is the least of the Flames problems. One of the best contracts in the league.

I though Andersson might get a game or 2 for the head-butt. I'm surprised it was just a fine.

If there wasn't a head butt, no way should that have been a fine. What a joke

HNIC got Ras fined...not even kidding

Them going on national TV and jumping to conclusions. If that was some rando Tuesday night game, wild/Blues there is zero chance it's even looked at.

There was no head-butt so why the fine?

You could have scripted this in advance, which means things around here are way too familiar. In no particular order:
- Backlund continued to coast like he’s at the country club
- Lucic too friendly with his old buddies to be of impact
- penalties facilitate the usual torching by McDavid
- Markstrom makes a game saver save but then allows the game breaker
- Monahan gets hit then disappears
- Gaudreau fumbled the puck pretty much all night long and looked slow
- Gio’s presence was missed
Bright spots:
- Andrew Eat Bread
- Tkachuk seemed engaged
- Defence was better than expected

Totally agree with the comments on Zach Hyman. Seems like a great guy. Too bad he signed in Edmonton.

Maybe, but there's also more than enough evidence to suggest at any given time he looks off - he already has 2 injuries that require surgery.

Declining, softening game full of incompetent morons in positions they're not cut out for.

If you can't block out the noise and do your job objectively then you shouldn't be there to begin with. Getting suckered into feeling sorry for Yamamoto after he made the first move and provoked just cause he's small is what morons do.

Less interested in this league by the day.

And HNIC can pound sand. Never wanted to re-up with that bush league Oiler felating network to begin with. #### them, honestly.

I watch the games on mute now.
