Missing the point, why bump the GM thread as soon as the team lost the season opener? Do we need to make the forum as negative as possible?

Because the GM sucks. And should be on the hot seat right from the beginning of this season..

Maybe he is on the hot seat this season. Complaining about him after every loss is kind of a waste of time, no?

Right, so you have been saying this all summer? No need to bump this thread to make your point at every opportunity. We get it.

I mean if there was ANY truth to this - wouldn't they have locked this thread?
That would be really simple right?
What a silly thing to say.

You are right though - let's all take fresh takes and talk about how Edmonton only won because McDavid got a bounce lol.

Am I supposed to ask for your permission before making a post or bumping a thread? Like it was discussed a few days ago, the mods on here will do anything to make sure the Flames never get any criticism.
|

There is more than 1 thread on this forum. This thread has a clear title - if you don't like it or want to read about it, just don't visit the thread?
Next time, I will surely send you a PM to ask for permission before bumping any thread.

Dude it's about quality vs quantity... you're making the same arguments over and over again. Even the ones of us that agree get tired of just hearing how everything sucks. Hell hockey is back, I personally missed hockey.
I thought the product on the ice looked different than the previous iterations of the Flames. It at least has me intrigued. So don't ruin w.e optimism I have left with your so called realism.

And here we go again.
After 8 years or whatever, it's the GM's team. I think his defenders and critics alike agree on that. We may as well give them more than one game to see how good are they, no?

*Citation needed.
Chicago didn't want to keep Zadorov, that much is clear. Chicago also believed it was a good idea to trade a boatload of assets for replacement-level Seth Jones (WAR 6th percentile per JFresh) and then sign him to a $76-million contract. If you're looking for a really dumb GM, maybe you're not looking on the right end of the Zadorov trade.

How fortunate it is that forward is the only position on a hockey team, amirite?

I think it's tough to get good players but our scratches tonight were Pitlick, Coleman and Stone. So if Coleman is back next game do we see a recall from Stockton? Or maybe there'll be a trade involving 1 of our D men. But more than likely Kylington will sit out next game and now you have 2 Ds scratched.
I think Treliving should have straightened this out better and that's why I think he could be in the hotseat especially if the team gets off to a slow start.

Such a BS argument.
There are 4 players on this roster that were here full time prior to the 18-19 season:
Backlund, Monahan, Gaudreau, Tkachuk
That means 8/12 forwards , 7/7 dmen, and 2/2 goalies have all been changed on this team over the last three seasons.
But yeah he refuses to make any changes. And really of those 4 forward the only one people seem to have a consensus on wanting to move on from is Monahan.
Not saying he’s done a good job but saying “He’s refused to make changes” is such a lazy and BS statement.

If you are this negative just take a break. I did during the tail end of Gulutzan and it was very beneficial to my life. Right now I am looking forward to watching this season unfold. If I felt as miserable as some I would definitely tune out until I felt better watching the games.

I mean this makes a lot of sense if you consider all 12 forwards the core. But they're not. The four you listed are the core forwards. Forward core isn't forward corps.
