Help me identify this bug
Hey guys,
Any casual entomologists out there? One side of my backyard has seemingly been invaded by a ton of these little bugs. They are pretty small black things with soft bodies. If you step on them they squish quite easily. They seem to be congregating on the lower parts of my chainlink fence and wood border of my tree/garden beds. Here are some pics....

I have tried my best to describe them in google but the closest thing I can seem to find is false chinch bugs but the pics I have seen of them dont have those little rear horn looking things.
Anyone have these or know what they might be? Hoping they arent planning a tree or garden takeover in my yard.

Look like aphids. They are everywhere this time of year. Usually show up in full force around the start of September.

Definitely Aphids, order some ladybugs online, massacre the little vermin

Hmm aphids hey? Wouldnt it be too late in the season to deploy ladybugs?

Ah yes, those are your standard Canadian Ass Crawlers. Once you see one, you can almost guarantee there's an infestation inside your colon.

Are they causing a problem, or you just don't like them existing? Insecticidal soap works well on them, but takes repeated applications. Buying ladybugs will probably work for a day or 2, until they go somewhere else, as bugs tend to do.

Really dont know if they are causing any issue. Havent seen anything like this in my yard previously so it makes me a bit nervous that I will have a bunch of dead trees in the spring or something.
Sounds like ladybugs arent available this year. Just spoke to a guy at a garden center and he is suggesting a pyrethrin based spray to take them down and hopefully soak down and take out their larvae for the spring.

I use Bug B Gone, the concentrate will last forever. Buy an empty spray bottle, too.

We were able to get ladybugs in the spring. I think you're way too late for this year.
