Yes, and if I were in fiji it would be tomorrow morning. And I probably wouldn't be thinking of Jack Eichel in either place.

Gaskal predicted Eichel to Calgary today, so we sit with eager anticipation of the prophecy coming true.

After the “Eichel Happening” as told by the prophet Gaskal, then comes the long awaited “Around The League” where the great saltiness™️ occurs.

But if they did have a hot start to the year or even be a huge surprise and have their best season in 10+ years… would that put less pressure on Adams? Most of the pressure he is facing to trade eichel immediately is from eichel himself and from the fans. The fans might not worry about it as much if Buffalo somehow miraculously does not look like a dumpster fire on the ice. Everyone speculated that this eichel problem would be a distraction for the team. What if it’s not?
I really don’t know the answer. Just something I had not considered until now. I have basically assumed the sabres would be awful immediately out of the gate to start the season after the scorched earth offseason they had.

Definitely one way it could be viewed, I would also wonder - if things are good, how much better could they be adding additional pieces such as a Monahan and Valimaki.

Buffalo looking to improve their team this season is the single greatest thing that could happen to the Flames at this very moment.

And maybe it convinces Monahan to waive, since he will be receiving passes from 2.0 PPG Skinner.

Heard Friedman and Marek discuss Vegas being a team that made sense if they can build a deal around Hague or Krebs and if they want to win now then this is a move that makes so much sense

Vegas is right at the cap so they'd have to clear out the salary of something like two guys - not immediately if he's LTIR, but by the time Eichel is game ready. Reilly Smith would be one - he's UFA next year anyway.
Vegas already has Tuch on LTIR so they have to clear when he's back anyway.

"Buffalo really wants Krebs" is what Friedman says.
Not yet heard who from the Flames Buffalo really wants.

While we all feel comfortable that the Ducks wouldn’t include Zegras or Drysdale in a trade for Eichel but I could absolutely see the Knights blinking and moving Krebs given where they are

Is Krebs that much better than Zary? Not in minor league scoring. Drafted about the same position, one year apart. Krebs was PPG in his AHL cup of coffee. Zary was just under.

Treliving doesn’t want to give up Pelletier or Zary
At least that will be the reason when the deal goes down

^^ Thats kind of what I wonder. Buffalo surely has someone in mind from Calgary. Who would be the comparable? You might have it there.
