Herald's has a summary of each councilor's voting record. Farkas has basically voted no on every key issue except to line developer pockets.https://twitter.com/user/status/1448748391849095172
He just recently accused city council of skimming money from developers... you know instead of levying fees like they were supposed to. Like Wtf.

He voted completely opposite of Jeff Davison on almost everything on there, yet he wants Davison supporters to vote for him instead?

If you're voting for Davison or Gondek, then Davison is a stupid waste of a vote since he's not going to win regardless of whether you vote for him or not.

This is where my head is at. I might switch my vote to Gondek.

Conservative politicians who feel threatened love waving that socialist/left/unionist red flag warning. Never say never, but with this trusty tool in their belt they use as frequently as a tape measure, plus trying to tell people to vote strategically, he must be feeling the heat.

Agreed, when we first met her during her councillor run I thought she was going to be centre and slightly left. She seems to be more centre-right.

Even then, he didn't really vote for fluoride, he just voted to put the question on the ballot. That's more about his populism than it is actually voting in favour of doing something.

When Council voted to just restore fluoride to the water without the plebiscite, he voted no: https://www.fluorideyes.ca/candidates

I'm with you. I liked Keating a lot. Evan Spencer worked with Shane in his constituents office and seems has the same community focus. Lots of volunteering with the community association in Mahogany. His platform is solid and also wants a collaborative approach to working with other councillors to get things done. Which is the polar opposite of someone like Chandler who thinks he'll be able to force things through council to get his way (as he said in one of the ward 12 debates).

I'm not in Ward 12 but if you like what Keating has done then I'd consider Evan Spencer given the fact that he's worked in his office:

Spencer is no stranger to the workings of city hall, or the priorities of Ward 12 residents, having worked in sitting Councillor Shane Keating’s office through this past year. He also calls himself a “passionate policy nerd.”

If elected to represent Ward 12, Spencer would work toward smarter spending of taxpayers’ money, improving livability in the ward’s communities, and growing jobs and opportunity as the economy rebounds.

That jives with the hate mail for Evan Spencer that was placed on my door by Craig Chandler. Thanks!
