Link to video here.

I'm guessing, VGK, SJ, L.A, CGY and I don't know the 5th.
It would be extremely annoying if Vegas got him.

I could see Seattle going after him but then again they’ve demonstrated they are incompetent so probably not.

He has a five year contract and will be a UFA after the five years. He won't play much of year one ... I wouldn't bank on Eichel being in Western Canada for more than the 4.25 years.

And I'm not saying don't trade for him.

But don't trade for ten years of him because I can't see that happening.

4.5-5 years to build a relationship, after “rescuing” Eichel from a bad situation in Buffalo, and after supporting his choice of surgery, I could see Eichel willing to extend here.

We’d have his national team linemate(s) and we may have actually won something.

But if all we end up with is our own stud centre to counter McDavid until 2026, I can live with that too.

If Eichel is so good here he thinks he can pick his spot in 5 years he is still a massive asset at that trade deadline ect.

I think he will show some loyalty to the team that rescues him though...especially if its team USA north

Tkachuk - Eichel - Mangiapane
Gaudreau - Lindholm - Coleman

Tell me that ain't an elite top6 F group

Tkachuk
Eichel - Lindholm - Gaudreau

and that top PP... would be off the wall

Yes, 4.25 years of eichel with 5 post-seasons, at least 3 of which under Sutter is worth it.

Sounds like exactly the medicine this team and city needs to inject some excitement for this team again.

Like others said, if you can't re-sign, then you can still recoup huge assets even for an expiring Eichel.

Me, if Eichel goes anywhere other than the Flames

Sutter is only signed for this year and next.

Time is running out on "this year" for Eichel, so it may be no more than a year under Sutter if he somehow ends up a Flame.

What’s funny is that honestly? Sutter would be the best thing for Eichel. He would make Eichel legitimately one of the best players on earth.

OK, though Eichel is already an elite guy stuck on a terrible team.

I love this...so because of Sutter and Eichel you're going to look in the mirror and say, "Alberta needs to plan for a future without fossil fuels and embrace carbon neutrality immediately".

I was onboard before knowing the repercussions, but for the greater good let's trade for Eichel.

Jack "The Solution" Eichel. Solving problems from Flames mediocrity to forced economic realignment caused by catastrophic climate change.

I thought we were supposed to have him by now. Seems weird that a rumour didn't come true, oh well, back to work.

No one on the ice today, no one to pull mid practice when the Eichel trade goes down. Media availability already scheduled, big day for the Flames.

Morning dragging on already. Can't it just be evening so I can be disappointed this didn't come to fruition and attempt moving on again?

Finally the day of promise by the great Gaskal has arrived.

May it be so for this fanbase.

If you were in Kabul it would already be evening.
