Hasn't Hader given up key home runs like that in the playoffs before?

Did the Brewers really just try to bunt the runner over down a run?

Yep, with Kolten Wong who is a decent hitter too.

And just like that both central division teams are done. Guess beating up on weaker teams and coasting to the playoffs isn't really a recipe for success.

Gotta give AA a ton of credit. Watching half his team go down with injuries but still going for it at the deadline is sure paying off now. And Freddie Freeman is a beast.

The Braves were 52-55 on Aug. 2 with no Ronald Acuņa, no Mike Soroka and an entirely new outfield. Now, they are headed to the NLCS. Quite an impressive turnaround.

Must be nice to be in a division where you can suck and be under .500 for most of the season and still have a chance to run away with the pennant.

Since July 30th:

Jays: 39-23
Braves: 37-19

During that time, Atlanta went from 3rd, 5 games back, to winning the division by 6 1/2 games.

The Jays went from 4th, 8 1/2 games back, to 4th, 9 games back

It really matters what division you're in.

That is so gross. 16 games over .500 in the last two months of the season and we ended up FURTHER behind.

Despite a team-record 17-game winning streak that carried them to an MLB wild-card berth, Mike Shildt is out as manager of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Cardinals president of baseball operations John Mozeliak announced the move Thursday, citing "philosophical differences."

In other words, the guy higher up the rank had the bigger dick in the argument.

This could be it. You get the feeling one more run wins this thing.

This last inning will be really entertaining. Oddly enough, both great teams haven't looked that great batting this series.
