This is the worst start to a season I can remember. Every team should be playing in the first couple opening days. FFS NHL

Multiple teams play 3 games before Calgary plays one
It also means the Flames schedule is more compact down the line
Cherry on top is starting in Edmonton on HNIC...McDavid showcase, refs included

I see it optimistically - Flames always suck at the start of a season, and Flames always suck after a break.
Let's get them both out of the way now, so when the Flames do go on a heater we won't have a break to send them crashing back down to earth

Buffalo has great fans but everywhere is gonna have a breaking point. They also might have the best team in the NFL this year so it would be hard to muster any energy to care about the lowly Sabres.

I gotta say it, Bobrovsky looks like "good Goalie-Bob" again. Rebound control is fantastic, where he was giving up juicy rebounds on simple shots last year. He either has great years or mediocre/poor years, nothing in between. If he has a great year, this team might be a legitimate cup threat.
LOL as I say that, a goal goes in, but it was tipped by his own d-man right in front. No chance on it. Still looks great.

Ridiculous game management call, and then he gave him an additional two for complaining. That takes some balls to make a weak/terrible call and then have such a thin skin when the player complains. Brutal ego on that ref.
