The world isn’t out to get your team. The world bends over backwards to give your team every possible advantage.

However, I'm having trouble seeing what points of the hit are illegal. It's from the side, he doesn't appear to make contact with his head and based on the clip there is no charge.
What am I missing that makes this hit a suspension?

“Boarding. A boarding penalty shall be imposed on any player who checks or pushes a defenseless opponent in such a manner that causes the opponent to hit or impact the boards violently or dangerously. The severity of the penalty, based upon the impact with the boards, shall be at the discretion of the Referee”
It’s pretty clear that it is against the rules. The Hawk was in no position to brace himself. Boarding to the letter

Yeah, that's boarding, which is what the penalty was called on the ice. I think the NHL would also be within their rights to assess the hit as an attempt to injure.

Ya, there is no chance that guy could defend himself in a position like that.
5 minute major and game misconduct should be enough here no? It wasn’t an overly malicious hit IMO.

I'm guessing 1 game tops, probably just a fine.

The part where Dach's head is driven into the boards and his neck snaps. The part where Dach was vulnerable and unable to do anything to avoid or brace for the hit.
How would you say that this isn't an attempt to injure?

Wow that was dangerous, should be 4-5 games for that one.
FYI, I agree that Coleman should have got ~1 game for his. I don't like vulnerable people getting hit, even though it wasn't a hard one

Did you see the Coleman suspension?
Not even half the force of this one and not a repeat offender

Zero. The exact same amount that the team got when Coleman laid his hit.

That would signify that they are taking this seriously now

The bar was set with Colemans suspension, Landeskog as a repeat offender should probably get anywhere between 3-6 games IMO.

It doesn't say in person hearing so it has to be under 5 games right?

5 games is the maximum it could be.

credit to the wheel of justice for landing on the same space as Coleman. Could just be coincidental consistency, but it is a start.
