Boo on the 3 point game, but haha stupid Oilers on blowing a 2-0 third period lead.

Neither team looked overly impressive.

The Canucks looked awful for most of that game and still outplayed the Oilers. Shootout stanley cup victory for the no goods but as expected they looked not good.

Oh my GOD MIKE SMITH HAS WON THE STANLEY CUP!! You let a goal in from the blue line that beer league goalies can stop *ssh*le...
That over the top celebration wasn't too far from BSD's celebration that the oilers were crying about. **** I hate Smith and the Oilers.

teams that are contenders don't act like that when they win a regular season game

Why doesn’t Sportsnet just call themselves the Edmonton Oilers Network!! They don’t try in the least to hide their goddamn bias towards them.

That's how you differentiate between a contender and a pretender. Real contenders act like they've been there before.

Just saw the highlights and saw Keith get pasted. Hear he came back though? Must have had some vitamins and red light therapy in the dressing room.

Two second assists and a miss in the shootout was good enough for McDavid to get 1st star.

Canucks with both goals from defence and 2 assists from Hoglander.
Garland with a strong debut and his twirl abouts on skates, holding position and offensive drive.

He was mostly invisible but this is the way it is for that market. The Canucks looked totally disinterested as Petterson looked like he wanted to be somewhere else. Also that arena was library quiet. I suppose being first game of the season it's going to take a while for teams to get going but it felt like a meaningless exhibition game except for Smith celebrating like he just won game 7 of a playoff series.

Gibson quietly going about his business as one of the best goalies in the league for years on end.

There’s a new McDavid stat this year ‘good non-calls’ as he elbows and rag dolls his path through the right of way.

It’s insane. He’s been in the league for almost a decade and he’d still be one of the first names I’d pick if I was building a franchise.

And I have to look through a TON of bias to form that opinion. Team USA and The Ducks. Gross.

Don't forget Frankenberry's Cup celebration after his goal.
