So the Flames acquire Player X

They then have to expose Player X and either lose him or Kylington, whoever is better.

So the best that happens is we're even, the worst that happens is that we end up trading Kylington for Player X (who presumably is worse than Kylington - at least in Seattle's eyes)

This doesn't really seem like a situation where we need to be calling out the team for mis-management.

I've got a feeling that if a deal with Gio and NYR was made, the talk today would change to "Surely there was a better deal out there than the NYR one". Is the potential return from a NYR deal for Gio greater than zero? Yes, I suppose that can't be argued. Do you have a chance that is greater than zero at winning the lottery if you buy one ticket? Yes, I suppose that too cannot be argued.

YGF is right guys, Engs was just part of the first leadership group but wasn’t an official captain though that first year he was definitely considered to be the unofficial one for sure.

Stone was their first captain but Engelland was the one who lifted the Campbell Bowl, so he certainly filled the captain's role.
