I'm biased as my first Flames sweater was a Theo white pedestal, but a black pedestal actually sounds kinda great as a reverse retro one-off.

I strongly dislike this if true. The black C of red should never go away. And Blasty was amazing to see back again.

It's true. And you won't be seeing the black C for a while, I fear.

I love that our retros are the current home and aways. But a few games a season where they wear the 2004 uni and blasty would be appropriate.

If there is a better jersey in the history of the league then the current "away" retro jersey, I have yet to see it. Id love to see them worn at home.

Id be all for a black pedestal jersey for a third.

Flames have the best uniforms in the league now, the jerseys are amazing. It took them nearly my entire lifetime to get it back correct.

So I just pray they’ll keep this set forever, like the Devils or other classic teams. Just keep this uniform and then if you wanna do a third jersey or alternate sure, go nuts.

I like the black C- BUT- and this is critical- Sans flags. 2004 version or bust.

There's an exclusivity thing around the RR program, and, the league and teams want to make money off this.

For the first week or so after R1 in 2004, there were no red Flames.jerseys to purchase locally until they shipped more and the factory pumped out more (which were all CCM, where the usual home jerseys were Koho branded).

Point being, a very large amount of Flames fans and Calgarians,.casual fans and otherwise, picked up a jersey then during the run and still have it now. For other teams bringing back a 2004 jersey may seem retro but the Flames won't sell a bunch because mant Flames fans still have that jersey.

You could do a reverse retro of that jersey and make it black (and a white C) but then you'd effectively have the Horsehead jersey with a white C.
