He has plenty of opportunities to prove it this year

Is last year just a bad year?

Andersson’s worst year (last year) is tons better than Baertschi’s best.

I don’t dispute that

Just saying to that guy we can’t judge him on one bad year

Baertschi career is over. Andersson going to be in the league a very long time.

username checks out

and as to the bold: he has already been, and continues to be a top 4 defenseman. So top 4 potential doesn't seem too grossly exaggerated.

I know it's your schtick to poop on all things Flames, but you just embarrass yourself with garbage like this

Big opportunity for Barre Boulet. This is a team where he could see top six time as a waiver pickup, and I don't think that would happen even in Anahiem or Buffalo.

It’s funny - IMO if you kind of like a player but feel you have to waive him to start the season, you should do it earlier in the preseason before other teams figure out their needs.

Yeah that's an interesting suggestion.

Baertschi is now an AHLer on the outskirts of his career, a career that really never got started.

Andersson literally beats that by being in the lineup.

He was a fantastic player on a bad Canucks team. Then as things started to turn around he got into concussion trouble and never came back from it.
