well we may be punked for the online version....not sure what direction to take this. Looking for ideas from the pub crawlers.
The only thing I can think of is to provide my cell number to one of you at the pub and have you text me the picks when made...but this would certainly be more cumbersome.

I was hoping that I wouldn't have to bring a laptop(as they are old). But I can bring one and hopefully I can get everything working.

Nothing beats Yahoo fantasy for this sort of thing. Everyone can pick on their phones and then nobody else can pick that player. You can still hang out and talk, but instead of pieces of paper and saying “that guy was already drafted” 286 times, you just pick on your phone. Fool proof and WAY faster.

I actually just came to suggest the same thing. You can set a timer for 1 minute (or something like that) and it will autodraft for people if they're not paying attention.
ETA: If people are so inclined, we could make it a league where you play head-to-head and run it that way on there also.

The problem is gathering emails for everyone in time, then setting it up and having everyone accept. If this was the case a week ago, wed be in luck I think.
Also, too late to change format, wayyyy to late.

Im ok with any day...just need majority rules. Do we want to go this Friday or Saturday?
Gents,
We need to put this draft off for a week or until another day agreed upon by all.
Im going to suggest next Tuesday at same time and place unless most cant make it.
At this time there is no one to manage the Sharks portion of the draft so online players would be blind and using text messaging is too cumbersome.
If you know anyone going to Sharks tonight, and youd rather not go now, please phone them up and let them know ASAP please.
Those that opted out of today and can play next week or this weekend let me know please.

I just respect the work that you are putting in, so I'm easy.
If anyone was asking my opinion though, I would again say Yahoo pools is great.
Anyone can do it from anywhere, and you can set any rules you want. Also, if someone falls asleep at the wheel, Yahoo auto picks for you after a minute.
