Yeah, I thought she was going to lose that one and that would've been it. Still clearly not over, might have her best chance to win it here by breaking.

EDIT: Welp, so much for that idea... I hate to say it but I have a bad feeling about this service game. I think Leylah has something wrong with her racket arm.

Two aces. Both won the set.

God damn do I love being wrong sometimes! Woo hoo!

Seriously, I think she had a cramp in her arm and just fought through it.

1 year ago today, Rafa won his 20th Grand Slam and 13th French Open title. I remember being really nervous for the final because it was with a closed roof and against Djokovic, but Rafa played an almost perfect match to win in straights.

Leylah has that Rafa grit in her. Takes away her opponents will point by point until she’s got them on their knees; must-watch tennis every time.

Is there any way we can transfuse some of the grit from Leylah and Bianca into Felix and Denis?!?

One year it will be Leylah and Bianca in a Grand Slam final and it will tear this nice tennis thread apart

At least another half hour until Bianca with Kerber almost getting bageled en route to that match requiring a third set.

EDIT: Still waiting but Angie broke her to get to 4-3... gotta say, a bit worried about whether Bianca's going to have trouble with this heat.

So frustrating to watch! She's the female version of Denis... plays an excellent first return game to assert her dominance in the match and then gets extremely sloppy and gets broken at love immediately. FFS, Bianca, bear down.

Maybe so but she's not fighting through it at all, and that last shot to lose yet another service game had nothing to do with the wind. Not even remotely close.

I would guess that 90% of the total points she's lost so far have been just given away.

I think we're seeing why Kontaveit has won a couple of WTA tourneys in the last month.

Such disrespect. Let me know when Denis has a grand slam and master’s trophy on his shelf and we can talk about this comparison.

Watch her play. If anything it's disrespectful to Denis. He's far less casual at least in his approach and seems more focused most of the time, even if he is poor at making in-match adjustments. Bianca's game sometimes just seems like it's "hit it hard and hope."
