The obvious choice, but good for Gio. Still commands a high level of respect on his new team. Hoping he does well there.

I'm still holding out a little hope that he comes back and does some year to year deals with Calgary.
Getting the C in Seattle dampens that a bit though.

Letting him go was the right move. Full credit there.
Replacing him with Gudbranson and Zadorov was the classic Calgary Flames blunder, however.

Was completely expected. I'm with Bingo on this one. I would like to see him back year-to-year, but I think the "C" with the Kraken makes that a little less likely.
