A pretty underwhelming waiver wire overall this year, IMO. I'm usually intrigued by one or two waived players each preseason, but not this year.

Looks like the Flames roster is set now too. Obviously injuries have opened a couple of spots, so that's helped with rhe last couple of cuts, at least for now. Not much controversy either. Those thst are still with the team are deserving as far as I'm concerned.

Barring a trade, no waiver wire activity for the Flames means Gawdin and Kylington have made the opening day roster. Werner, Dueher, and Mackey need to be sent down to the AHL by deadline tomorrow.

I agree that Barre-Boulet is a surprise. No space in the top six in Tampa, and he is not a very good bottom six guy. He has been at the top of AHL scoring.

Kevin Stenlund also an interesting bottom six player.

They could also put Pitlick on LTIR and keep Duehr.
