I'd say insert Rittich and Parsons in that spot, but no. I feel like both of these guys are different.

It is crazy how our goaltending went from precarious at best to crazy good in a matter of a couple summers.

Between the NHL and AHL nets we look pretty set.

I wonder if the Flames could switch Dube to center and make Mangiapane - Dube a pairing going forward?
Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Backlund - Coleman
Mangiapane - Dube - Pitlick
Lucic - Gawdin - Lewis
Ritchie/Richardson

Also the D really has me intrigued, mostly Tanev's partner and the top 6. What are the odds Zadorov sits the first game? slim to none?

And from Rittich to now, Sigglet deserves his praises. Especially with how much he's been hung out to dry here.

I just want to try a season without the Gaudreau-Monahan pairing outside of the PP.

This group needs some new looks to break away from the past.

I keep asking myself why they even traded for him. Similar player in Gudbranson and we were able to sign him as a UFA.

With him signing a 1-yr deal it seems he expects a big contract with term and a higher AAV I think any of us would be comfortable with.

I don’t think he will be here long especially with Kylington’s resurgence and Mackey waiting in the wings.

The odds Z sits first game are none, I would think. Sign a guy for 4 mil a year and sit him out? Not a good look.

That said, playing the oilers, maybe you want the fastest skaters out there, I dunno. I think playing a guy who takes up a lot of ice and has a big reach probably makes sense.

I'm attributing this to the goalies we picked up and not Sigalet.

That guy burned through a dozen net minders and they only got worse under his watch, each and every time.

I think we just have better goalies now.

Siglet found Rittich.

I am sure he's just as responsible for Vlader as Rittich.

If he did, then credit where due. But that means he's in the position he was meant to be in (moving upstairs and scouting talent). As goalie coach he failed, plain and simple.

He should've been canned. Lucky for us a promotion may have paid off all the same.

Completely false and made up. Why would you think a goalie coach traveled to the Czech leugue to scout talent? Do your homework .

Derek MacKinnon was to go to Europe and scout one player specifically, Daniel prybil. bRittich caught his Eye at the same game. Both got invites Prybil was highly touted but we know that ended poorly but Rittich was a just by accident find .

Dunno about Rittich, but I heard at least one person on TV say Sigalet scouted Vladar.

Anyway it sounds like Mackinnon saw him and sent tape to Sigalet, who then pushed for him: https://www.nhl.com/flames/news/flam...sk/c-295375058
