Yes, did you watch the game last night versus the Canucks. Oilers got 2 two man advantages in that game. Does any team in the league get more 2 man advantages than those turds?

Been a consistent suspension. League made the right call. Was a very dangerous hit.

I appreciate you finding these. After pages of people wanting to be shown an example you did not one but two. And then we get more pages of yeah but. I appreciate your effort. Bad hit. Didn’t need to happen. Punishment seems fair.

Look at the Oiler fans in here patting each other on the back

Oiler fan post thanked by 2 other Oiler fans...they are just giddy the Flames got a BS suspension and will have the refs on their side next Saturday. Its all fun and games until you play a southern US team and are on the short end of the stick as far as league favorites go.

I posted in this thread I didn’t think it was suspension worthy already. Thanked a post about 5 on 3’s. Not sure how you jumped to that conclusion

It's so embarrassing when fans act like the league is out to get us. We correctly ridicule fans of other teams when they do the 'woe is me' routine. The league doesn't need to perform any sort conspiracy to make the Flames bad, the management will take care of that on their own.

And it's a 1 game suspension, pre-season games don't count we all know this.

The Calgary Flames and all the fans, after a dangerous hit that gets a player suspended:

Coleman rubbed him out and hasn't even been fined in the past let alone suspended. Just happened to do the worst thing in his career in his 2nd game in Calgary after playing 300+ in Tampa/NJ without so much as a fine.
All the factors you laid out are why Kadri got approximately 6 times the punishment.

I have heard a many of the talking heads say they were shocked by the suspension...Guy plays 300+ games without so much as a fine and gets suspended 2 games into his Flames preseason career. (I guess that was the worst play he ever made)

Its all been laid out here...2 of the top 10 worst calls in hockey history (Big Flames homer TSN I guess lol)
biggest joke of a suspension ever (Tkachuck tap, weird how nobody has found a comparable)
least penalized team in the league, Wideman happens, most penalized. (same ####ing season)

Draw your own conclusions...for whatever the reason the Flames get more than their fair share.

Anyway, some Oiler fans are actually on the side of reason with this one...just thought it was funny they were lurking and thanking each others posts. But they know damn well they are getting the calls opening night. Must be nice...they know how it feels on both sides though (Anaheim Playoffs)

Its all good, I know for a FACT something much worse will go without a suspension this season and I can bump this thread and say I toada so

and why its not a comparable at all...because there isn't any

there are no suspensions for boarding by a first time offender where the player doesn't skate into the hit with multiple strides.

And yes strides matter because of the force of the impact obviously.

Kucherov was gliding in on his hit and he got suspended for a play-off game. Guess the league is just out to get Tampa though.

You need to take strides to glide...he came from a distance. Not as bad as Kadri but the force of the hit was much worse than Colemans lean.

Anyway, you know where I stand....no point in going on about it I guess we can agree to disagree

Like I said though I'm quite confident a worse hit will go unpunished sooner rather than later and we can compare

I don't want to get in to everything else here, but I am fairly sure the infraction on Tkachuk for the Detroit incident was an automatic suspension. Also, I think the reason there are no other comparable examples of similar suspensions is a product of the fact that stick infractions off the ice are just that uncommon.

Well, if pre-season games don't count then why is Coleman serving a game suspension in one that does?

He gently tapped a guy with one foot on the bench...Corey Perry throws punches at players on the bench and they don't even blow the whistle and his team goes on to score a goal. It isn't automatic...maybe you are thinking of the canes player who got an automatic suspension for coming back onto the ice after that. Players on the ice get involved with players on the bench quite often, see Corey Perry.

No kidding...12 days between games isn't exactly ideal. Other players suspended for game one are playing in preseason games.

great schedule for the Flames too
