I do like the commentators on the telecast quite a bit, along with the pitching stats showed, but why is the camera angle so off to the side, and the strike box not consistently showed? It helps in tracking the strike zone after the past couple years with it.

Lost money, but a nice way to end it. I don't like Justin Turner but the rest of them are cool.

I just grabbed a beer, my first of the night. I figured I'd be watching for a while.
Cracked the beer, took a sip, walk off homer
You're welcome Dodgers

I was on a road trip through Arizona in November 2001. It was an eerie time to be in the USA. So much solidarity and pride, but also a lot of fear and anger. We watched the World Series in small town bars and hotel lobbies. It was a classic and helped America resume a semblance of normalcy.

Hangs a breaking ball and its all over in an instant.
Dodgers/Giants should be one hell of a series.

I’m so over the Dodgers but that’s a good team.
What do they say, at it’s best baseball is the best game?

I enjoyed watching the blue Jays this year.
However, baseball is inherently an intensely boring game. 4+ hours for a normal length game? I’m going to advocate again that if a game lasts longer than a certain amount of time, both teams should lose.

Red Sox-Yankees: 3:13
Dodgers-Cardinals: 4:15
MLB is not doing itself any favours if they are trying to draw in new fans by watching the playoffs. Really need to get the game length down to more reasonable times.

I don't think fans have much of a problem with the times for the playoffs if there's enough drama associated. I'd say there was so far, and these times don't negatively impact much. Regular season though, yes.
I'm in the boat that is disappointed that next year they won't be going back to the runner on base for extra innings. It was important over the 162 game schedule. What I didn't like about it was I noticed some of the lesser teams in the last innings were just holding on for the tie if they were home, to just bunt their way to the win. It seemed there was a home advantage with the runner in scoring position if the score was even where the home team knew they could just bunt the runner to third, and have a good chance of scoring that runner over two batters. That got gimmicky. Going forward if they started the runner at first that would be good. But they're going back to what they did before and the games will be longer. Totally unnecessary for regular season. Of late I also don't find pitchers and batters taking their time too much, so things move along fast. It's still a cerebral game using game theory between batters and pitchers, so speeding it up too much doesn't make sense. I imagine the average game is still 2 3/4 hours, which isn't bad at all.

Baseball just needs to accept that it is where it is now, it is pretty much locked into the fourth spot in the American sports landscape (NFL, CFB, NBA) and it already has a pretty dedicated fanbase. Chasing the mythical "new fan" while possibly alienating existing fans just isn't worth it to me. Pitch clocks and other things to speed up the game aren't bad per se, but I don't see them drawing in new fans. Baseball's problem is it's pretty much meaningless for 5/6 of the regular season, and then for maybe a couple teams its meaningful for the last 1/6. Postseason baseball is great, but regular season is just too tedious for anyone but the die hards. But the die hards have still made it an obscenely rich sport, it's just already peaked long ago and has legitimately no shot of getting back to what it was.
All sports have long-term problems with how much other entertainment is out there and that the younger generations don't care about sports like we did. Which is why I fully expect sports to go big time all-in on gambling, cause once your money is involved you are obviously going to care.
