The force is strong with Vladar.

If the defence helped his cause at all, he'd have the stats to back it up too. Still he's giving them a chance every night he's been in.

Yep! We have other good players, but if we don't have Johnny, we don't really have anyone that makes exciting stuff happen.

Life will go on if neither are on this team just like life went on when Fleury left and when Iginla left.

Kinda funny the lengths some people will go to to say the Flames got screwed one way or another, even when its such an obvious call

It's preseason. Calm down. Relax.
Can you provide a screenshot that shows that was a clear high stick? It looked like it could have been anywhere from head height to shoulder that he made contact with the puck as his stick was coming down when he made contact. Everything I saw looked pretty borderline and to call back a play you are supposed to have conclusive evidence. Anyways despite this being preseason its hard to swallow blatant missed calls like Tkachuk's stick being slashed in half then to have such a borderline play be reviewable. I'm more upset that's a reviewable play than it even being called back at this point.

I'm glad the Flames knocked the stick out of troll face's hands on the EN attempt. Clown jumping into the glass after a goal in the preseason. What is with the Flames opponents acting like it's game 7 of the finals the last two games?

I think that there are too many goals in the NHL already. So any borderline infractions should definitely nullify goals to ensure that there isn't too much excitement. Who doesn't like waiting five minutes to review spilt second offside and obtuse angle high sticking calls. That's where the real excitement in hockey comes from.

Also why they made crossbar the height for a goal.

I’m not sure how clearly it was a high stick, it was around his head but he was crouched.
The replay was quiiiite obvious. Even took a screenshot but don't know how to post that in here. Stick was at least a foot above his head. Don't think his slouching created a foot in height difference.

The refs were horrible, yes. The Flames got the short end of the stick in terms of penalties, but that was an obvious no goal.

At the same time, although the Flames were much better after the brutal first, Winnipeg was still clearly the much better team.

Again, preseason.

If you know how to post a screenshot here and can explain it to me, yes I can.

Was it life though?

I'd say it's more like purgatory.

So does that make the Flames 0 for 3 in reviews so far in the pre-season?

The league is just preparing us for what is ahead

Team had its best season in years not long after Iggy left...that's not to say let Gaudreau go

Outside of a poor first period, it honestly was not that bad.

With age I have come to realize it really doesn't matter who leaves and who comes. You start to cheer for the jersey and have less attachment to players. Getting old sucks.

Take the shot clock with a grain of salt...I think they brought the guy from LA in

It was probably 25-35

Also PPs were what 6-2?

Well, they can almost win with the refs actively working against them.

Imagine if the refs were impartial.

Jk, I'm not Connor McWahvid.

This is why betting on the NHL is a crap shoot. Stat counters are usually bias towards the home team

I'm not even mad. Liked Vladar a lot. I thought Dube has a strong game. Gadwin and Duehr looked good. Coleman was fantastic.

Jets played a really good game, score should have been 6-2.

Flames had their moments, but it was not a great effort

In terms of the disallowed goal

They showed it on the replay during the game, the stick looked high.

I think the funny thing is that it was the NHL war room that called it in to review. Refs just were like, okay fine it was a high stick.

Dube hasn't recieved enough praise for his camp. Really great showing so far.

If he was a couple years older, he'd make a strong C candidate.
