Flames played well in the early part of the game starting about midway through the first. Johnny and Tkachuk looked awesome. Hoping Johnny is okay.
Kylington continued to look good and Gudbranson didn't look terrible. Flames obviously lost their way later in the game but I'm not too worried. Sutter will have those things fixed.

He's looked great so far.

Well, he did play 40 games a couple seasons ago. Kylington has had plenty of opportunity with this team. It is encouraging to see that he is making strides right now. He looks better than I have ever seen him.

Looked great.
They will win a lot of games when they are able to replicate those minutes for 50 plus minutes.

I have faith that they can.
With Markstrom holding his own against the odd expected McRush, they otherwise were playing textbook and had Edmonton stymied.
They can be their own worst enemies over 60 minutes though. Just one of the things the coaches will look to hammer out of their game.

No worries, it’s only preseason, Zadorov and Grudbranson were brought in to play tough defense. They will do that when the real game starts.

I really feel like they held back tonight.
Wonder if they were told to, after the havoc they wreaked in the last couple games. BoA gets heated, maybe didn't want to stir it up when it didn't matter in case.

The did play against vastly different opponents...Flames got killed by McDavid and Drai on the PP not Seattle or Vancouver AHLish teams

I think it’s good for Sutter to reinforce that they need to stick to the system for a full 60 minutes.
McDavid is so annoying with that. Don’t drive the net recklessly, you’re going to get tripped by most dmen in the league when you try that move.

If Tanev trips get you this worked up, just wait McWhiney.

Well, yeah. That's obvious from the question he asked, no? If he had watched the game then he undoubtedly wouldn't have had to ask.

Don't forget this is pre season for McDavid as well. He is trying to prefect his whining and crying to the refs.
Has there ever been a star that cries as much as Mcdavid?

I would put Tanev at 1. Does anyone really think Hanifin is better than Tanev?

He is completely unlikeable as a player. And as a person I think as well. Just sayin.

Gretzky was a huge whiner about the game
