Zadorov has been the biggest disappointment but I expected that. Was never a fan of his and always loved when Flames played against him. He was always a liability and still is. Thank God was only a 1 year contract. Plain to see why he's on his 4th team at 26.

Is Gudbranson, Nicklas Grossman bad? He looks like it to me. Sure looks like a swing and a very slow miss to me.

Except Kylington has a better shot. I love Brodie and I will continue to say it was a big mistake to let him go, but Kylington has all those tools and the shot too.. just have to figure out if he can build that beautiful toolbox that Brodie has.

The Flames played smart balls out hockey for the last 12 minutes of the first period. Baby steps.
Looked great.
They will win a lot of games when they are able to replicate those minutes for 50 plus minutes.

No it's not. It's the same core unless you think Gio was the problem and it's going to change because he's gone. They rarely played more than one or two good periods last season. I'm not going to lose sleep over this but there's not enough talent on this team to take periods off.

I really hope he turns out like Brodie. He hasn't really had a legit shot up to this point at regular play time, so I'm just hoping he establishes himself as a useful player.
He's looked great so far.

Hanifin #1, Andersson #2, Tanev #3, Kylington #4, Stone/Valimaki rotating in for #5, Zadorov/Gudbranson rotating in for #6 would by my current approach if I had no allegiances to specific players, but I fully expect extra leash granted to the two most recent d-man acquisitions just cause the GM hand picked them (with Darryl's input likely).

the core is the same on pretty much every team in the league. So why even bother playing another season?
