E/W section seems to be open with speed reductions gone. N/S section is still blocked off, but looks like they’re just setting up the “ribbon” cutting ceremony, so likely open after that’s done
Let us know how it is! Need to figure out if I take the nice car or ol' reliable... I remember driving on Stoney SE when it first opened and some of those expansion joints were pretty nasty at first haha
They seemed pretty smooth to me, but I was in an F-150 so I might just not noticed/cared
Drove the SW section few hours ago.
She's real nice
Based on this post, I planned to use it for a trip south... Not open to traffic as of 1pm... At least I got to enjoy one more hellish trip through Evergreen.

Sorry I should have specified it wasn't officially open yet.
At least it's your last day doing that!

I refuse to believe they were dumb enough to let Seth anywhere near that presser... again.
Was that the same guy that ripped the project at the ground breaking ceremony? YouTube sound wasn’t working when I joined and he was talking. Sound started when Nenshi started talking.

Exactly. Same guy. I just came southbound to drive it and was the LAST car they forced to exit to Fish Creek Blvd, everyone after me is through. Northbound already open.

Wonder if that’s why the sound wasn’t working. “Technical difficulties” in case he went off script again?
Sure was nice driving 22x at normal speeds again. Feels like it was 70 for 3-4 years. Strange that west of the city limits is 100, then 90 from city limits to the 70 zone for the lights at 53rd (still think those are ridiculous) then back up to 100. It should just be 100, 70, back to 100. Same west bound. 100, 70, 90, 100 right now.

First day is never indicative of anything because it's people checking it out, but there's more traffic than I was expecting. Fortunately we built this with room for 20 lanes so there's no concern.
I haven't watched it yet and I feel for the kid, but his own people voted for this instead of forcing us to tunnel under the city. Doesn't make it any easier a pill to swallow, but I can't believe he was up there arguing with Nenshi.
Just came back from my drive on it. Very nicely done.
Crews were removing the "CLOSED" stickers on the BGS's (Big Green Signs) and they were actually removing the material that makes up the sign. Big & expensive problem for the contractor.
