Conrelia Wiebe and Natalie Winkler have both done interviews with Danielle Smith and Common Sense Calgary so, just superficially on that, i will probably rule them out.
That means that all but two candidates in Ward 2 must be ruled out, but Jeromy Farkas for mayor is still fair game.
As someone who knows Cornelia and knows she isn't a Danielle Smith type by any means, I'd implore you to at least give her a chance instead of superficially dismissing her on the basis of an interview. A lot of council candidates have given interviews to Smith, hell, I probably would too if I was a first-time council/mayoral candidate.
I'm continually surprised that Preston Manning isn't dead. He sounds like some bygone old fuddy duddy of Alberta Conservative politics who should have been rolling in his grave already. I legit thought he was a premier in the forties or something.
Preston Manning is 79, Jim Grey is 88, Ron Ghitter is 86...I guess we can call them the old guard?? I love the use of quotations in the endorsement.
This is literally the first piece of campaign material I've seen for anyone who's running in the pointless Senate election, so I guess he gets my vote...

I refuse to believe this is not Jeff Davidson and his back up plan.
The Senate election is so dumb, and I have rejected my ballot every time. I'll vote for that guy though, those videos are hilarious!
I want to vote early and get it over with, but I'm plagued by indecision and not sure what to do as far as mayor and councilor go. I don't want Farkas, so there's that. But frankly, there are a lot of questionable things about Gondek out there.
For me, in Ward 11, it's so difficult. I don't want any of the Chandler/Manning candidates or anything like that. I think I'm down to three options (Herschel/Branagan/Ward) and kind of debating which way to go there.
I hope I get to vote. I requested a mail-in ballot a few weeks ago, but it hasn't shown up. Now I realized I can get to the advanced voting, if needed, but I don't know if I'm allowed, since I requested vote by mail.
The city process is a mess, compared to how easy it was to vote by mail in the federal election.
I'm still not 100% sure for councillor, but if nothing else happens to change my mind, I'm voting for the candidate whose mother came by the other night.

We’re still waiting for our mail-in ballots as well, not sure what the delay is. Elections Canada sent them out pretty quickly for the federal election, I would think / hope Calgary should be able to handle its own population.

My friend works for the City, training elections workers, and she said they weren't sending them out until after the federal election, so people wouldn't get confused. But the federal election has been over for awhile now, so I'm not sure what the delay is. She hasn't got her ballot either.

I'm going Branagan I think. Based on all the candidates material I think she is most likely to be an effective councillor as she has done sort of plan. I also think she has some (minor) name recognition is some of the communities, so I see her as the most likely candidate to put up non-Manning votes.

Thinking about Monique Auffrey for Ward 8. Seems to have a very impressive resume but does anyone on here know much about them?
Also, why are there still so many candidates for mayor? Is this normal? I would have assumed many would fold their campaigns by now to support 3-4 main candidates. A little shocked that it's not happening.
