This focus on crosschecking penalties is going to be another source of frustrating inconsistency by the refs this year. They are saying moving a guy with your stick is ok, but not too forceful. So much grey area in there. That zadorov cross check was not forceful, not like the examples the DOPS videos show. Just because a guy falls?

Edit: the DOPs video says the check can’t be ‘excessive’. That’s not vague at all….

I actually think he'll be fine. He's super young and had 2 really good first full seasons as a 21 and 22 year old. Players have bad years. I'm guessing he'll be a solid player for the Flames.
