Return of Gio. Top 6 gets it first preseason action.
Looks like Calgary is icing close to it's opening day roster minus Markstrom, Dube, and Monahan

Better line up for the Kraken than last night. Looks like a decent lineup for the Flames too!

This is probably the first time I played close attention to a pre-season game day roster. Are the teams allowed to dress extra players during pre-season games? Because the Flames have 8 D and 12 F on that list.

The return of Gio. A preseason game on a Wednesday night. Feels very strange.
Hope the Flames can start scoring some goals. It's still early but would be nice to have some offensive confidence before the games mean something.

Good thing we are playing some offensive players in this game, its their first game in awhile though, I would temper expectations.

No. 8 D listed because Sutter probably hasn't made a decision yet (or at least hasn't told the PR guys) to as which of d-men are playing.

I wonder if this is an indication that Monahan still isn't 100%. Also, is Markstrom nursing something?
Of course, from what I remember, Kipper and Iggy didn't play a lot of preseason games when Darryl was around the last time.

Sutter indicated that Monahan and Hanifin wouldn't see game action until the end of the preseason schedule.
