I’d just like to see a Flames team that dictates the play. Not a team that lets their opponents decide how the the game is going to be played.

Not at all personal.

Flames were completely dominated. The score flattered them significantly as it could easily have been 10 zip Coilers. Flames had maybe 2 scoring chances all game (if you are being generous), won roughly zero puck battles, and looked like their 'give a crap' meter was stuck on "nope".

Goalies were actually pretty good. Gudbranson was garbage. Everyone one else was a big steaming pile of meh.

Yeah it's the first game of the pre-season, but that was terrible. EDM in building and you're playing in front of the fans for the first time in a long time, you'd hope for something better than that...
