Norris won that race, just got screwed by the weather. Mclaren should have been more forceful getting him in but hindsight I guess

My god that was heartbreaking. I have never felt worse for a driver than I do for Norris. He should not have ignored the team.
Based on radio it sounds like what we heard on tv about covers it. They asked if he wanted to come in, seemed to suggest he should but didn’t explicitly ask Lando to box nor did they warn him the rain would get worse.

Man what a bummer. Lando pooped himself out of the win.
Gotta learn to trust the team more. Landos my favorite driver but he's a bit of a hot head to work with during the race . He's consistently the meanest to his pit guy.

The TV direction was so bad this race. So many key moments they missed and we had to watch as replays.

Norris will learn how to cope with pressure a bit better as time goes on. Its not as if he's used to leading races. His responses on the radio were a bit much - maybe ask more questions? Anyway his team should have also provided more weather info if they had it at the time.

I totally expect Norris, his engineer, and the entire team to learn from this. They’ve definitely upped their game this year. I hope they carry that into the new 2022 cars, as it’s exciting watching them drive for podiums.

Updated standings from Russia (with no love)...
Arcfyr wins the week with no picks carryover...thats the second miss.
Three way tie for second this week. Dammage79, DFO, and myself all had 12pts w/ 1 correct slot and 8/10.
The lowest score was 10pts so really no change to the standings...except me jumping 3thirty & Agulati for P7   .
Woob...I had a miss for you on France / British / Italy
Agulati...I had a miss for you on Monaco / Italy. But I screwed up and you should have had a carryover. I've updated the picks and the totals should be right. You have used both misses though.

This. He earned the win. It wasn’t because he was on pole for a 2 lap “race”. It wasn’t because he got lucky because of strategy or a pit stops.
He drove his way to the lead. Then it rained. Lucky? Yes. But he earned it.

He's a perpetual backmarker who is barely competitive in top tier equipment.
Kurt Busch is going to wipe the floor with him in a sister car next year.
Don't forget that Danica was somewhat competitive at the plate tracks.
