I don't think he did anything to put himself in this position. A couple of his coaches didn't get vaccinated so they had to hire a defensive coordinator quickly and Jones carries a lot of baggage but he's a good DC that should help get them through until Young comes back if he gets vaccinated.

Montreal Alouettes head coach Khari Jones has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be in isolation away from the rest of the team for a minimum of 10 days, after which his situation will be re-evaluated.
Since the result, Jones has remained in preventive isolation at home and is feeling well. He is asymptomatic and remains in constant contact with team doctors.
Jones received the diagnosis late on Sunday, following the tests that the entire team passed on Saturday. He has followed social distancing guidelines and has received two doses of the coronavirus vaccine in the past months.

^^ Glad to hear he's asymptomatic and doing well. Also glad the rest of the team has tested negative. Go vaccines!

^^ Been disappointed in Mayala thus far....really thought he would separate himself and become a go-to guy. He simply hasn't done that to this point.

Sometimes it takes the Canadian guys longer. Parker took years and never realized the potential the team hoped he would have. It took Kamau Peterson seven years to hit 1000 yards. The good thing about carrying a Canadian passport is that he's afforded a much longer look than import receivers.

Tiger Cats with some injury issues of their own
Quote:
Hamilton QB Jeremiah Masoli (ribs, elbow) was limited for the third day in a row. Also for the third straight day, the team practiced without Brandon Banks (ribs). Receivers Bralon Addison and DeVier Posey were limited again on Wednesday while running back Sean Thomas-Erlington (leg) missed his second practice in a row on Wednesday.

Yeah, Watford has been getting the majority of reps this week in practice although Masoli is coming along. We'll know more on Thursday.

It can't be easy for a QB to play with injured ribs. I get the feeling that Watford is going to start.

You are correct sir.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have named David Watford their starting quarterback for Week 7 against the Calgary Stampeders.
Watford took the majority of reps with the starting offence during the preparation week of practice for the Calgary Stampeders. He finished Hamilton’s Week 6 loss to the Toronto Argonauts completing 6-of-10 passes for 78 yards while leading a late touchdown drive.

Oof -- is their backup Prukop?
Stamps playoff hopes still very much alive right now, just need to get some more wins under their belt.

I think so - They also have a guy named Taylor Cornelius (played at Oklahoma State University)

Absolutely - If the Stamps can win in Hamilton on Friday night and go into the bye week at 3-4, they will be right in the playoff hunt with still three games remaining against the Riders which obviously loom large.

Lifetime Suspension

Taylor Cornelius or Dakota Prukop starting against Willie Jefferson and Jackson Jeffcoat 3 of their next 4 games. Oh boy. Lol
Collaros, last QB in the west to be injury free, lol. Oh the irony.

I posted this before the season started:

I would expect things to be pretty close; injuries and depth could be a big factor.

So yeah, fair to say I missed the mark
