I’m glad that the show isn’t on network tv and is streamed, for at least a few reasons.
The language seems to actually help the show, and doesn’t detract from it; and
I find myself watching each episode at least two times: partly because I can’t fully understand everything that each person says and partly because the episodes are just really good.

I know Jason Sudekis is going to get a lot of award attention again, and deservedly so. But Phil Dunster as Jamie really needs to get some Emmy attention as well, the guy has turned an absolute twat of a character in the first season into a complex and sympathetic character who still has some of the funniest scenes in the show. He absolutely crushed that last episode

Honestly...its hard for me because really nobody does a bad job.
Ted, Beard, Jamie, Roy Kent, Hannah Waddingham, Sam...they've all been brilliant at their roles.
I'd like to see Hannah Waddingham generate some credit.

So much great in that last episode though.
From Ted being schooled about the NHS, the foul-mouthed little girl, the haircut, the scene with Jamie's dad....I could go on and on.

Lasso's panic attacks really hit home with me. I'm someone who is generally optimistic and feel good most of the time. But I get panic attacks (less so now but was having issues several years ago when my insomnia was destroying me). The way they show them hitting Ted is very much what it feels like to me. So much that I find it very hard to watch as it just hits me too hard. It's too real. Which is a credit to the show.

Also...as someone who is a father to 'crafty' people.....
I dont have any tattoos, and I'm not a big fan of them, but if I were to get a mantra tattooed on my body it would probably be:
"F-ing Glitter..."

I'm also very happy with the arc for the Therapist. I was really worried early on that she would be a foil for Ted, but it's gone in a great direction, imo.

"Whoops"
Also, the writing is pinpoint perfect. The whole teacher interview was great "GASP!!! I'm responsible ?? Fuuuuuuuu****####"
Capped off with the perfect ending of "Fudging Glitter"
Just hits perfectly.

Roy is an awesome character.
And Rebecca is 10 lbs of potatoes in. 5 lb sack in a very good way. Sam is a lucky man.

This show is proof that the nanny state policing of language is bull####, and should lead to a direct overthrow of our draconian babysitting forum algorithm that forces us to dance around the ####, piss, ####, ####, ##########, mother####er, and tits of life. Down with censorship!
Oh hey, a couple of the 7 aren't filtered. That progress.

Everyone featured this last episode killed it, and I appreciated the break from dickhead Nate storyline. they did make Jamie’s dad a bit too cartoonish and easily punchable though.
The Apple products are starting to take over every scene. Yes I know they’ll inevitably be featured given the platform but it’s getting piss tits obnoxious now.

Network TV?? Are they still making shows? I don't think I've watched a scripted network show in at least a decade.

That was one of the best episodes of anything I have ever seen.
I never thought this was what I was getting into when I started this show, but I sure glad I am in it now.

“I don’t need a pep talk. Ted, I just wanted to tell you how I was feeling … And I’m glad I did.”
Roy hugs Jamie, gently at first but with growing ferocity. In spite of himself, and in spite of their long history of enmity, Roy, in this one moment, is being precisely the father figure Jamie needs. It’s one of the most powerful moments the show has ever had, and the direct impetus for Ted’s own confession.
“All these messages, I was grooming you.”

Pretty sure next week's episode is going to be the second "Filler" episode (kind of like the Christmas episode) that was added after the fact, as it appears to be about Beard's night out.
Kinda bummed I'm gonna have to wait to find out what happens, but I also want to see what a night of blowing off steam looks like for Beard.

Well the Christmas episode is one of the best episodes of the series...so if it's like that then I think it's good.
Also the Christmas episode is much more than filler IMO.

Yeah I didn't mean it that way. My wife and I immediately agreed it was going to be on our yearly Christmas watching list.
By filler, I mean, apparently the original order was for 10 episodes, and then Apple decided they wanted 2 more (such is the scuttlebutt), but the season was pretty much planned out already. So it looks like they added the Christmas episode and then likely this next one as "Filler" that wouldn't really affect the overall arc.
Christmas episode was fantastic, and I expect the same from Beards big night out.
So more like really good side quests, rather than filler.

I would just like to say that I would never have started watching TL, if not for this thread and everyone saying how fantastic it is.
Started watching a couple weeks ago and am caught up now, and I agree it is one of the best shows in a very long time. Whoever said "relentlessly positive" nailed it.
Just an amazing and uplifting show. Thank you CP!
