This game looks like it will be fun...actual offence, good hitting, and it sounds like Dunnigan might have had a solo cup or two before the game...

C)Stamps needed this one in the end. Fell backwards into the playoffs under .500 but won the GC.

2h 11 min mark.

Also, Rod Back is insufferable, as always, tonight.
The Stamps weren't going to lose. They had Ben Sankey.

I really like to think that last second TD could push the Elks out of the playoffs as a tiebreaker. With their schedule to end the year, Edmonton is going to need to build up a cushion before those last few games.

My takes after this weekend.
  • The East is unsettled right now and there will be no crossover from the west. Wide open for three teams as something isn't right with the Ti-Cats.
  • Ottawa is a disaster. If I didn't know any better I would assume Eugene Melnyk owned them as well.
  • Yes Bombers are good but holy smokes does the league ever bend over backwards for them. Inexcusable that golden boy Harris doesn't get ejected in that game for his dangerous play especially when they kick two Riders players out in that skirmish.
  • Something is wrong with Mitchell between the ears. Those time count violations and terrible reads for pick sixes (one dropped one ran back for TD). No exuse for him looking more like a rookie than Maier.
  • It's going to come down to tiebreakers in the West for the last two playoff spots.

Harris should have been toseed and the only reason he wasn't was the stupid unwritten rule that he didn't throw a punch. That being said the Riders had no chance that game.

Ottawa is hot garabge and their Arbuckle for Nichols move makes 0 sense.

Hamilton was crowned the king of the league before a single whistle went. Theyre 2-3 and could be down their QB.

The CFL really needs to get rid of challenges for PI and illegal contact.

Or at the very least amend it so that it only applies to the intended receiver.

Unwatchable.

I don't mind the challenge for PI as at least now they are only making the call if the interference is blatant. I'm not as big a fan of challenging illegal contact as I feel too many teams have extended drives on illegal contact infractions that had no bearing on outcome of the play.

It seems to happen once a game, the defence will get a stop, and then a challenge flag comes in to argue that a receiver who’s closer to Regina than the play was unfairly treated.

I don’t care if the DB stabbed him - if the ball is 70 yards away, and it wasn’t called on the field, it’s not a penalty.

And it was...even though it becaame a blowout in the 2nd half.
Lalji should do more PBP, and Matty should have a pony keg within reach.

This guy sure honours his commitments...

The Toronto Argonauts have added Chris Jones to their coaching staff, per sources.

Jones had been hired as the South Pittsburg High School head coach in April, but he’s resigned to accept aa position with the Argos and return to the CFL.

He’s going to get another HC gig in the CFL isn’t he?

He's likely safe for the time being (tough to make a coaching change mid-season) and they have been hit hard by injuries. Stamps and Riders still have three games to play this season, let's see what the mood is like in Regina in about 6 weeks.

As far as coaches on the hot seat go, the leader in the clubhouse has to be Orlondo Steinauer and the news that QB Dane Evans is out 4 to 6 weeks certainly doesn't help.

Naylor this morning said the Argos had to put two of their defensive coaches on leave because of MLSE’s vaccination mandate coming into effect today.

And Chris Jones is coming back to the Argos as an assistant.

Oh Dinwiddie, why would you put yourself in this position? He's gonna work behind the scenes to pull off all sort of stuff. Zero loyalty after landing his "dream job" at his alma mater. He just can't help himself.
