Tanev is 1000 times better than Keith though...the rest are close.

Andersson has been average in the D zone and doesn't put up much points. While Barrie puts up double the points Andersson does each year, Barrie is very similar to Andersson in the D zone to be honest.

Ive played and coached/GM at the Junior hockey level so I know what I am looking at. Im taking Barrie over Rasmus if comparing the two. Barrie is a high risk high reward D man, while Rasmus continues to battle fitness issues (I must be blind to be the only one here to say that he had apparent conditioning issues last year..again).

Good deal for the short term. More NHL proven bodies signed shows how bad the Flames' system is. One of the worst development systems in the league, and the signings support that. The best for defensemen is Mackey, which means there's nothing that is guaranteed close. Ugly system is ugly.

Barrie puts up more points, yes. And Andersson had a tough year last year. But in no world are they similar in their own ends - I don't care who you have coached.
