Also, this was the best way to spend 2m on our D? I would much rather put out Kylington every single of the week and 6 times on Sunday.

Okay one more thing. The last time this team had as bizarre an offseason Darryl was the GM. Makes you go hmmm...

I just don’t get this move at all. I get the truculence angle, but at that cost? Stone is a much better option and he probably was available for way less.

Yeah this move is the first real head scratcher to me.
How Gudbranson got anything above $1M is just a horrible decision.

I don’t get it.
I would have rather had that excess space for future moves at the deadline and rolled with Kylington/Mackey/Valimaki as the 5/6/7.
This is just a dumb move. We had physicality already with Mackey.

Yes. I brought that up here yesterday that I heard it on the radio. Boomer said it was rumored he might go there.
Nice attempt at a gotcha though.
LMAO and now it breaks that Stone is coming back here.

Wonder if we might make some sort of pieces for piece type of trade. We have extra depth at centre, d, and in AHL/prospect goalies now.

This makes even less sense with the Stone signing.
NHL GMs are simply bad at their jobs. There is no excuse for this.
Team is going to fall ass backwards into a rebuild

My excitement and optimism of having Darryl back has officially been exhausted.

I thought we might have a chance at 3rd depending on the off-season but I can’t see this team being better than Vancouver or Los Angeles. Prepare for a world of hurt.

my optimism is that this is part of some weird salary in/salary out scenario for Eichel even though that's not how NHL trades work

based on a 5-7 dman?
They were better than those teams last season despite having an absolutely terrible season from almost the entire roster
