Big break for FAA. There hasn't been really any threat against Felix's serve so far, so this is obviously a big game not only to consolidate but demonstrate that he's in control. A hold at love or 15 would be a real message.
EDIT: Well he started strong but it suddenly became an enormous effort to just get the thing over the net. God dammit Felix, close.

Boy did you call that.
EDIT: In this case the things Felix giveth and taketh away were 3 break points apparently.

The most encouraging sign for me is how Felix is hitting his forehand. It can be hit-and-miss, but tonight it's on. Obviously, getting that 1st serve in is also key.

Yeah, Alcaraz has played two back-to-back five set matches, the legs look a little weary tonight (understandable).

Yeah, you can't get comfortable here. This kid has managed to stretch every match out. Gotta put it away.

Yeah FAA just looks a bit stronger. Keep leaning on him.

It's just a matter of staying steady. The kid can hit as hard as he wants but if he's boxing a glacier, it's not going to make a difference.

Even if Felix doesn't get the break here, he's going to make the kid's arm fall off lol

It looks like the length of the game did precisely that, considering the trainer came out and now it looks like he's going to try to hit clean winners off every look.

Aw, he had to retire. That sucks.
