That's the point right there, that's what her gameplan should be. Just hang in there with her and get your chance to hit that shot, and it doesn't need to be anywhere near a line.

EDITEDIT: Yep, there it goes. You could see it coming too with the fault on the first point when she won it on the second serve.

It wasn't necessary to hit a drop shot there, but yeah, it definitely wasn't necessary to hit one right on the line. She was just a little too pumped up there.
I just really really hope she can get the first serve in here... this is a good start.
Hahahaha holy crap, that shot after Kerber hit it out to make it 40-0... my god.

Leylah (aside from the double faults) is playing better today than she did against Osaka, in my opinion. Kerber is also playing top drawer tennis.
