Jansen is back and the Jays DFA'd Brad Hand. Not sure if Trent Thornton has some compromising photos of a higher up in the org or something.

Atkins has done a great job overall in my opinion. but he's legit got me scared now with that Hand fiasco. What a terrible job of asset management that was. Hopefully a one off.

Atkins definitely went once to often to the reclamation well.

Probably didn't help that Montoyo threw Hand into some horrible situations early so he didn't really get a chance to get comfortable.

The Hand deal made sense when they weren't going all in - he was a low cost acquisition who could hopefully bring some stability to a shaky bullpen. It made less sense when they went all in for Berrios but left the glaring weak spot without a more significant fix.

It's banana's. I'd think 6X25 might be the starting point. He's "only" 29 so has a couple more prime seasons.

The scary thing is his career trajectory is fairly similar to Bauer's and we know how stupid his contract is. And depending how Bauer's situation plays out the Dodgers may be looking for a new pitcher with 40 million to burn.

Semien doing the opposite of Ray as the season wears on. Millions are coming off his contract. That was hit right at him. No excuse for that to get through. And now the Jays are behind and facing an apparent Cy Young candidate in Akin.
