I hate to ask a question that's already answered, but don't want to go through 113 pages if it hasn't been asked:
Experience ordering tires online? Anywhere that offers better prices than the rest?
I'm casually looking now as I'll need some new winter tires when it comes time to change the summers off.

I've ordered off of both PMC tire and Blackcircles and both were fine.

1010tires.com is good as well, in BC so shipping is really fast and a location opening in Alberta later this year I think

I use Blaskin and Lane. Same price for the tires as online for the rubber, and they install with great service (for non-DIYers)

That will be fine. Cold weather won't really detiriate the rubber. The Sun is the devil to tires.

Thanks folks,
I'm leaning toward Michelin Ice Xi3s.
Any feedback on those or something equivalent?
For some reason in my mind I was expecting them to be about $50 cheaper than they are online. But I have zero basis for this other than my idiot brain.

We’ve run the Michelin X ice or blizzaks on our vehicles and I just choose whichever one is cheaper between the two when we order. I prefer the Michelin’s as they seem to wear a bit better than the blizzaks and still have great performance in ice and snow, but both have worked well for us.

I have had Xi3s on an AWD SUV for about 4 years, no complaints.

Usually run Xice3's or Blizzaks (WS-80 / DM-V2) depending on price. Just picked up some Continental VikingContact 7's for the Audi on a great deal. Sounds like they're on par with those other 2, so really just a function of price, but interested to see how they handle.
For reference, picked them up from BlackCircles.ca. The 235/55/18 Vikings 7's were $158 (after a 11% off coupon, down to 8% right now but still a great deal). They're $215ish everywhere else, seems to just be this one size thats super cheap. Ordered on Monday and they were here Tuesday via Fedex.

Where do people get tires bought online mounted? I can't see walking into my local tire shop and asking them if I didn't buy from them.

How's that different from just getting your tires changed from summer to winter if you don't have a second set of rims?

Generally any tire shop will gladly do it (besides Costco). Usually 25/30 bucks a tire to get them mounted/balanced.

Always been going for Blizzaks or Xice. I know the Nokians also have nice reviews but the previous 2 have always been good enough for me.
Used the Blizzaks on my previous Lexus and now now on my BMW and they have been rock solid since.

I'll be ordering them from Costco in a couple of weeks. Looks like they will have a sale on Blizzaks. Replacing my 8 year old ws80's with ws90's.
