Fair enough, but don’t say this is a good core when that isn’t the case. He was good up to that point.

Saying it is hard is just blabbering for the most part, but I think the "two to tango" comment is fair. It has been an underwhelming offseason. I don't think many will argue with that. However, I don't think making a change for the sake of change is a strong strategy. Some may disagree, but the goal is to make the team better and not worse. If staying put is the best alternative, then so be it. BT should then be judged by those results.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Saying the core is good or not is somewhat subjective.

He can say what he thinks and in turn people can disagree.

Ryan Leslie even said that the off-season isn't over and there's still time for Treliving to make changes, so I'm not being critical of Ryan in general - just the specific talking point/being apologetic over how hard the job is. Treliving's job is to execute at a better level than his peers, and he hasn't for a number of years now. It's okay for the media to be critical of am underperforming team and manager.
"He didn't say what I want to confirm my feelings so he needs to go along with the GM, this team sucks and I could make it better", without offering one solution other than to get Eichel (broken neck, zero playoff games, no leadership) and all.

it is just stating the obvious and i agree that it's useless to say that.

Fair enough, but he probably would be better off not tweeting anything. The only people following him are probably going to be the hardcore fans of the team . The only thing he is going to accomplish is pissing off hardcore fans with that fluff/dribble post.

I don't know why anyone would be pissed off by something that Ryan Leslie tweeted. Saying he shouldn't say anything then seems pretty lame. Surely one can better tolerate the fact that others have different viewpoints.
Or unfollow him.

I just noticed that if you take your signature and change MacTavish to Treliving, it still works.

Mmmm, no. Not really.

I don't think anyone is, or could be as deluded as oiler fans. I don't think anyone here is praising Treliving for an amazing job, just pointing out that some of the criticism is unwarranted.

Plus, that quote was in and around the 4 first overall stretch, a place the Flames have never found themselves in.

If the Ducks acquire Eichel, at LEAST one of Zegras/Drysdale/2022 or 2023 1st will be included. They’re rebuilding great, if they pony up for Eichel they’ll still be a bottom feeder and move back the rebuild a little. They’re better off with Zegras and Drysdale

Doubt Manson would waive for Calgary if he wouldn't for Winnipeg.
