McAfee has been such a huge add though, his reactions make the smackdown matches that much better too. I saw a thing where he said he doesnt do any of the meetings before the day, doesnt know anything that's gonna happen, he just wants to react in the moment, and it works great

I'm gonna try and catch the two shows this week and see how I feel.

Take over was a bruising physical show.
So much better then Summerslam.
Kross loses to Joe, kind of makes sense since Kross is on the Main Roster, but man he's had a tough few months and you know you're not over when the fans are chanting for Scarlett.
That Cole O'Reilly best two out of three was a 5 star match, wondering if Cole loses means he's leaving.
I'm such a fan of Grimes now, I've done a 180 on him.

Also hard to read, since he was likely going up after this one too.

Walter/dragunov stole the show.
Grimes is great....would love to see him take the "I'm rich schtick" to the main roster. LA Night could be a star IMO (too bad he's 38 already).

The Dragunov interview near the end of the match was telling about how snug they both work, he was beat to pieces.
I hated Grimes originally, the whole life reflects wrestling worked well for him and him trying to do the million dollar challenges was great. They tried to do the reverse with Corbin, and did some neat stuff with him being broke and begging and stealing. But he doesn't have the charisma like Grimes does.
Joe versus Kross was great, physical and simple. But man Joe needs to hit a treadmill.

Its so frustrating because summerslam did have some great matches, but they were in between some real duds. If they could just mix the reigns/cena, edge/rollins type stuff with Walter, balor, Cole, Grimes, Night, Priest, etc. they have enough talent to have great cards. (Walter/Balor would be a great match actually.) They just haven't brought them up at the right times.
Most of the guys that they brought up in the past aren't great workers at all. I have no wishes to see Keith Lee in a main event...but maybe that's just me.

Sounds like Cole hasn't signed a new contract with WWE, and his extension has now lapsed. That doesn't mean he's not going to sign a new deal with the main brands. But with his contract expired he could sign and show up with AEW or another group right away.
That would be devestating to WWE if he showed up on AEW on Wed or Fri.

Not quite, he's done with NXT though so if he does re-sign he'll be moving up to the main roster.

If AEW can get close on $$$ then I think Cole is gone for sure.
He's said he'd never get rid of his twitch which is a condition of being on the main roster.
He's friends with the Bucks, his girlfriend is in AEW, etc.
Young Bucks teased it last night posting a link to the most infamous seances in History, which references Adam Cole being killed off in the BTE canon.
I doubt he would show up this week at AEW...but there could be something at All Out.

That was a pretty horrible Raw. The Fans really turned against the show with the John Morrison Paul Miz segment. There wasn't really any memorable moments. They're putting Bliss against Charlotte. I love Bliss but they've completely wrecked her character now.
Now they have Karrion Kross dressed as a cross between Lord Humongus and servant one in a bondage S+M club.
RK Bro was the only stand out.

Sadly, I thought it was one of the better Episodes of RAW lately…..
The miz/Morrison portion of the show had two major flaws:
1.) both guys kept flipping between heel and baby face. The crowd wanted to cheer for someone…they didn’t know who. At one point, the MIZ said something to Morrison to get a pop, but then Morrison did the same a couple minutes later.
2.) creative has booked both guys horribly over the past year..essentially jobbing them out to everyone. Why would the fans take this feud seriously?
Then, Morrison cuts a serious promo afterward and almost cracks up at the end…
Kross is done in the wwe IMO. He just doesn’t look threatening at all when there are so many guys his size. Case in point: jinder mahal looked like a beast last night because he was up against monsoor. But normally, he doesn’t look all that imposing. The wwe has too many “big” guys to the point where now nobody looks big at all.
The undertaker looked big because he was up often up against smaller guys in main events (Michaels, Austin, foley, hart, etc.). Now they have mcintyre, lashley, reigns, mahal, lesner and to an extent lee, omos, etc. Kross doesnt look imposing amongst all those guys…looks pretty ordinary actually.

He was never brought in to be a serious thing at the top level. He was brought in for Scarlett.

The worst part of the Summer Slam and now Raw is the new emphasis on camera jump cuts. It looks terrible!

Speaking if Scsrlett, Miz needs Maryse back too and go back to full heel too
She really heated him up a few years ago when she came in

To separate her from him and send her out solo, most likely. Or to have him be #### and then have her come in and make him good again. Either way the goal is getting her over.

That’s the reason that I read. If Hardy didn’t get COVID and the feud didn’t get derailed he was supposed to lose to him again causing him to go ape#### and she would come in and make him unstoppable again.

Either way, Kross is or was a stepping stone for Scarlet. We're just discussing when it happens.

This might be nitpicky, but I don't like a full video screen as the stage. It doesn't look right and I can't put my finger on why.
The stage should be part of the production (which it is) but a spectacle in and of itself. A big screen doesn't do that for me.
It's like the Star Wars prequels being mostly CGI, it's missing something.
Compare any entrance on Raw to the entrances on AEW. I just feel like if Punk came out in Chicago on the Raw set, it wouldn't have had the same impact.
It's like the Titantron is too big, too bright, too much dead space.
Is it just me? Does the new set take away from the show?
