I'm done with Montoyo for sure now.
I don't even think I can watch them anymore with that clown calling the shots.
Why even have good hitters in your line up if you're just going to pinch bunt for them with the game on the line?

By announcing the bunt, they play right into Detroit's hands. But the decision was much worse than that:
1) Kirk is the #6 hitter, and if you take the bat out of his hands, you're putting it in the hands of the bottom of the order - and Mr DP is on deck.
2) MOST IMPORTANTLY: Kirk's mistake cost them the tieing run. Now he has the opportunity to make up for it and you take the bat out of his hands? ####ing brutal managing.
Montoyo has to go.
Then he gives Richards the hook and brings in a guy that has been struggling lately and immediately it's a 4-run game.
Grichuk is useless, but Montoyo just keeps on setting them up for failure.

I can't get past it.
Kirk is batting.
On deck is Grichuk
In the hole is a rookie with 4 MLB plate appearances
After that it's Espinal, with zero pop in his bat
On the bench you have Mcguire and Valera
Kirk should hit! Over ALL those options Kirk should HIT!
It's your best chance and it's not even close. How does this guy keep his job making mistakes like this?
The UFA's are not going to sign here if they continue to let this idiot manage the team into the ground.
At the very least he's cursed, if you're into that sort of thing.

I'm almost to the point where I hope they lose 30 or more of the remaining games just so that there is a chance Montoyo gets canned.
I'd rather they 30 or more of them, but with that dummy calling the shots there is no way that's happening.

The stupid thing is they could have easily walked away from him after this season but they decided to pick up his option. They could still let him go but it would be wasting money for nothing. That alone makes me think we'll be stuck with him for atleast the start of next season.
