I think Kevyn Adams is just raising a fuss and digging his heels in to get the four 1st round picks or recent 1sts he really wants. He is envisioning the Duchene trade when in reality it could be closer to ROR with the Blues.
How I think negotiations are going.
Say Tre dangles 2022 1st, Tkachuk, Valimaki.
Adams: #### off thats only 3. Plus Tkachuk doesn't want to play here.
Treliving: Then just trade him somewhere he wants to play, hear the Blues wanted to take him.
Adams: They made us look like idiots with ROR but fine lets see what he thinks.
Armstrong: Hey guys. Either of you wanna take Tank off my hands?
Adams: Thats not what we're here to discuss, we want to see what you'd give up for Tkachuk.
Armstrong: Tarasenko! Trade is one for one.
Treliving: #### off
Adams: #### off
Treliving: He should be worth a 1st and a blue chipper
Armstrong: How about a 2nd and Tarasenko?
Treliving: No, if I'm giving you Matt AND taking Tarasenko we want a 1st for next year and a blue chipper.
Armstrong: That's lopsided even with only a 1st. If I give you a 1st I want picks back to even it out. I want a 2nd and 3rd.
Treliving: #### man now that's lopsided in your favor.
Adams: But guys... thats still only three 1st round picks... I wanted 4
Etc...
