this has got to be the worst summer hard court season of all time. it's so bad it actually has me looking forward to hockey as a distraction.
also, beware the Mallorca Open. clearly it was organized to hobble Rafa's potential opponents from Wimbledon onwards.

I think having it every year is a problem, should be every two years.

Meanwhile, Felix and Silent K are playing some fine tennis this morning, currently on serve with the Russian serving at 3-4.
Bianca is also on court against Muchova and that match is currently on serve in the first set as well.

Razor thin margins between Khachanov and Felix, but the Russian takes the opening set in a tie-break (7-5 was the tie=breaker score).

Man, this is quite the game between Felix and Khachanov - Approaching 12 minutes and Felix has had multiple chances to break, but just can't cash in.

Khachanov thinks umpire Fergus Murphy is starting the serve clock too early. And Felix needs to bear down and convert one of these break points.

Eight break points opportunities in that game and Felix couldn't find a way through as the Russian holds. That really is unacceptable.

A second break for Felix gives him set 2 6-3 and he will serve to start set 3.
Edit: Felix saves a break point and holds. Keep it going FAA

Bianca's going to be ranked below 50 by the end of the year since she still has all those points to defend from USO and Indian Wells.

Felix one game away as Khachanov is serving to stay in the match at 4-5. FAA playing much better today than he did in his opening round match, winner of this match faces Berrettini.

Yes, Felix breaks to take the match 6-7 6-3 6-4. A fine win for FAA today.

Felix - 38 winners, 33 unforced errors
Silent K - 18 winners, 50 unforced errors
The score flattered the Russian today, if Felix converts on some break point chances, he probably wins in straight sets.

Berrettini didn't look very good yesterday against Ramos-Vinolas (likely shaking off some rust) and maybe Felix can exact some revenge for Wimbledon.

Come on Lloyd Harris, send the Fraudster packing today.
Edit: Harris lost five points on his serve in the entire first set. Loses the tie-break 7-3 to Zverev
Edit 2: Harris wilted in set 2, but Zverev was on top of his game today. Give it time lol
