Worst decision is probably starting chew. It's got me addicted...

The mushrooms I ate in Amsterdam almost ended up being the worst decision I ever made. But since I'm still alive it was fun as hell and nowhere near as bad as the fight I picked in a drunken stupor a few years back where I ended up as a groomsman at my sister (and ex roommate) wedding sporting a gashed up nose, puffed lips and knuckles torn to crap.

My worst decision - Not spending more time with my father before he passed away. I could have had the chance to be with him more while he was ill, talk to him, reconcile everything with him... and I didn't do it.
Terrible decision.

Sometimes I wonder if I've made a bad decision to move away from Calgary and my family in order to pursue the career I'm in. Im doing pretty decent career wise (and doing what I do in Calgary is pretty damn hard)...but I'm not sure if I'm any happier than I would be back home.
Guess we'll see...

Taking the PFD off when I was 8. Thanksgiving day at the Y back when it was on Northmount. Why it was open, I don't know to this day. The PFD made me think I could swim. Dad wasn't paying attention (I don't blame him either)... neither was the life guard. Jumped off the diving board, and I'm sure it was a span of 30 seconds that felt like 30 minutes fighting to get my head above water. My Dad tells me that when he looked back, I was splashing in the water, and he started baning on the glass wall he was behind. It was the observation area/gym, with no door to the pool. Barely made it to the edge when I felt someone pull me out, which I think was the Lifeguard who couldn't get to me sooner, cause he was on the phone to his girlfriend.
I lived, but have a slight fear of water, and I failed the Gym 30 componant when we went to SAIT and tried Scuba... I gave it a shot, but couldn't last 10 seconds without a panic attack.

Not getting into the housing market in Calgary earlier is proving to be a bit of a boner on my part. Though if I had done that I likely would not have been able to go back to school which I put as my best decision so...

Honestly, giving up on skating when I was a little kid. Ergo, I never played hockey. I regret that a lot, you can't imagine. I can skate a little bit now, but still not great. One of these days I want to be able to play hockey though.

You all don't have time to read about the errors of my ways. Suffice it to say the rest of my life will be spent making up for them.

Worst decision? Initially saying yes to a co-worker when he offered me some candy. I'll then spin this into the best decision I ever made. I instantaneously decided not to take candy without reason (other than I wanted to eat healthier).
Turns out the guy had been stealing from the store and he stole a bag of candy to eat while he was on his shifts. I said yes and the security guard who was secretly observing the feller heard me say I'd have candy. He didn't see me take candy from the guy (which I didn't do) and that saved me from being taken down with the guy as his accomplice. The next day he got arrested and obviously fired. I got interrogated by the security guard and GM for what seemed like an eternity. In the end because I didn't take candy I was let off the hook. Ever since then I've not been able to trust anybody in authority.

Putting off quiting a job where I was very very under appreciated for too many years, what could have been a year or 2 at a job I hated went as far as 7.5 years before I finally quit and went to a job where I'm appreciated.

Had a chance in 2005 to keep my house in Sylvan Lake and rent it out and buy the house I have in St.Albert, if I had the guts. I would have had a mortgage of about $850 per month on that house in Sylvan, and could have rented it for $1150 which would easily pay the taxes and some money for up keep especially after I wrote off the Mortgage interest. But no I got an offer and decided to sell. Dumb, dumb, dumb. That turned out to be about a $200,000 mistake, and that will only grow in value.

Yeah. I forgot to mention that they were upset with me for not narcing on him, even though I didn't know he had stolen the candy. At any rate the interrogation by the security guard and the GM was the worst time of my life. I'm somewhat over it, but I still don't trust authority figures. For instance if I see a police car I'm certain he/she'll pull me over and citate me for some bogus reason.
All because I said yes to candy that I didn't know was stolen (and wound up not taking).

Only applying to the first Multimedia course I recieved an application for. What I should have did was took my time and looked for a good game art school. But I guess I was young, wanted to get away from home ASAP and start my own life, and saw the words "3D Studio Max" and "Photoshop" and figured that was good enough. It wasnt a bad course and I did learn alot but seeing as I already had it planned out that I wanted to get into the video game industry I should have looked for something else.
Things have kind of been corrected and I am working for a indie game company but if I would have went to a game school I may have been going on 5+ years at a game studio somewhere.
Second biggest mistake was probably moving back here instead of staying in Winnipeg or going elsewhere after graduating college. When it came time to find our work experience I found out that a computer store was opening here and they wanted to do web design. I knew one of the bosses from a summer job I had before going to college so it was pretty easy getting them interested in having me work for them. The first month went good and I had alot of work to do but after my work experience ended and they kept me on things went completely downhill and we ended up parting ways because I was pretty much just sitting there waiting for something to do.
Since then I've spent what's going on 7 years working term positions at places and doing website and graphic design at home. Right now I'm trying to decide whether I should stay here and try to look for something to bring money in while the game I'm helping make is being made and then try and find a job at a game studio or if I should move back to Winnipeg or out West.

Listening to some fool at at hockey pool draft night to check out this site. I've been on it ever since and my work productivity has suffered severely, probably costing me several promotions and millions of dollars!

My parents always bought me skates that didn't fit and comsequently my feet would always hurt. So I got tired of the pain and gave up skating. Loved the game of hockey as a kid and have always regretted mt descion to give up skating.
